Pen to Paper Challenge
August is Baby Month. Any Baby related Products is eligible for 15% off. This includes Birth Announcements, Baby Shower Invites, Baptism Invites, Baby Related Thank you Cards and Much more.To get 15% off any baby related products use Code PEARAUG10. There is no minimum purchase Required.
This month they are having a Pen to Paper Challenge. This is where you take time away from the computer or the cell phones and actually Hand Write a letter or even a small message to someone. I was out of town for the 1st week of the challenge, So I am a week behind. So this week I will be writing 2 notes on my New Pear Tree Greetings Note cards.
The first of the two note cards is going to be sent to family we have in Georgia. We converse online, but there's still that connection that pen and paper can bring. It is just a small little note to say that they are loved and we miss them. We havent been able to aford to take a vacation down there in almost 2 years (love the economy). Its gotten expensive since my son now is older than 2 and requires to be a full price ticket. And non of us have the patience to drive 10-12 hours to get there :(. I did enclose the additional card so if they would like to write back, they can...or they can pass it on to someone else. like a pay it forward.
The second will be to a friend just a few hours away. Thanking them for the great time we had when visiting last. My son made 2 new friends...and I wanted to share a pic of all 3 kids with them. I cant wait to visit them again. It was a blast, and my son was in total heaven. Once again, I did enclose the additional cards, so they can either write back or take that to write to someone else.
Lets see if we can keep this going. This is a great idea. A pen and paper letter/note is way more meaningful that a text message or an email. I have always been a person for hand written notes. I find it easier to express myself when I am holding the pen. Like it becomes a part of me...and words tend to flow easily. Not so much when I am typing. Maybe it is because spell check doesnt like some of my words (like my name) and does that Silly red squiggly underline...You definatly dont get spell check on a hand written letter. That's what makes it the best!
Keep Tuned!

Zevia Review and Giveaway
Are you looking for a Zero Calorie Soda? How about an All Natural Pop? Zevia has the best of both worlds to offer you! They feature All Natural and Zero Calorie Sodas.
Zevia has 7 different flavors to offer. These flavors include: Dr Zevia, Cola, Black Cherry, Orange, Ginger Ale, Lemon Lime Twist, and Ginger Root beer.
Zevia has sent me 1 mixed pack of their soda for review. The shipping of this product was very timely. When it arrived, I had to make sure to not to open it in front of my son... Or I would have lost the cans to him. My hubby and I tried the Ginger Root Beer and the Lemon-Lime Twist. I will have to admit the root beer smelled and tasted like Regular Root Beer. The Lemon-Lime twist reminded me a lot of Squirt. But the Zevia version had more of a natural sugar type taste. It was a flavor I was new to. Zivea is a great alternative to regular Diet Sodas. Shhhh, Don't tell anyone. I did stash the Black Cherry so no one else will drink it but me. :D

Stinky Dorm Kit by Fresh Wave Products
Fresh Wave sent me the Stinky Dorm Kit for review. This kit came complete with 1 Fresh Wave 16 oz Crystal Gel and 1 Fresh Wave 8oz Spray. At first whiff, the spray has a noticeable smell, but it quickly dissipates. The best I can describe the smell is it reminded me of Vics. I tested this product out on my brothers Room. Couldn't be any better of a place to test it out than a guys room. It did what it claimed to do. With in a few minutes it started smelling less like a typical teenage boys room, and more like a regular bedroom. It worked so good, that my mom has claimed the spray for herself.
You can purchase this kit from Fresh-Wave by going here. Or feel free to try out some of their other products here
I was given this product for review only. This review is 100% my own opinion. I was not paid for this review
Macaroni Grill Frozen Entrees Review and Giveaway
I received a Frozen Macaroni Grill Frozen Entree through My Blog Spark. This meal came in 2 packages. One contained Dry Ice and the Frozen Dinner. The other package Contained a Blow/dish and a set of Tongs.
I got to try the Grilled Chicken Florentine. The back of the package says serves 2, but we used this as a side dish to feed 5. This would defiantly be a great size meal for 2 people.
Overall, this dish was extremely easy to make. All you do is add 1/3 cup of milk, heat it up and within 20 minutes you have a meal ready to serve. I personally expected the chicken and noodles to be a little on the dryer side - but to my surprise I was wrong.
This great meal came with the dish and tongs shown above. These were a perfect touch to making your home meal feel like you were in a Macaroni Grill Restaurant. This id defiantly a great meal to creat for a special in home Date night.

I got the chance to actually wear this shirt this past weekend. I got the most laughs from this shirt alone then I have from any other "funny" style Tee. The fit of this shirt is Great. Usually when I get a Women's X-Large Shirt they fit tight in all the wrong spots. This shirt fit loose, but not too lose. It was a great length - it actually came past the belt line on my jeans. CLOSED - Master Lock Review and Giveaway
With School just starting, Master Lock has come out with 2 new Locks - The Speed Dial and Precision Dial Locks.
The revolutionary Speed Dial Set-Your-Own Combination Lock features a first-of-its-kind design that opens on directional movements – up, down, left and right – instead of a standard rotary dial. The lock is faster to open than traditional locks, saving students valuable time as they hurry to and from class. The innovative lock is customizable, allowing students to create their own easy-to-remember, resettable combination with any number of movements in any sequence. For those who prefer more traditional methods of recalling their combination, the lock includes adhesive letters, numbers, colors, shapes and symbols that can be applied over the lock's directional arrows. It also offers a helpful solution for visually impaired students, as users don't need to see the dial to open it.
The Precision Dial Set-Your-Own Combination Lock from Master Lock offers users a new resettable combination feature in a familiar format. Busy students can leave memorization for their history books and choose their own combination for this lock using three letters or numbers. The lock operates with a standard right-left-right movement, and an enclosed reset tool ensures students will never need to worry about forgetting their combination again.
“The back to school video series is a fresh way to engage teens and communicate the functionality and security our combination locks provide,” said Rebecca Smith, vice president, marketing for Master Lock. “We know being a teen is hard enough and believe products like ours can help minimize everyday stress.”
‘The Secret Combination to Surviving the Teen Years’ online video series launches Monday, August 2, and features ten humorous videos depicting familiar school scenes that all students – and even parents – can relate to. A letter of the day will appear at the end of each video, and viewers can use all ten letters to answer the question, “what is the secret combination to surviving the teen years?”
Participants are encouraged to watch the videos as that were released between August 2 – 6. After watching all ten videos, participants can piece together the master combination and enter for a chance to win the grand prize of a new iPad with a gift card good for a two-year data plan, along with other prizes, from August 13 – 29. For complete official rules and prize description, visit www.masterlock.com/secretcombination_rules.pdf.
Did you figure out the Combination for Surviving the Teen Years?
Master Lock has sent me one of the Speed Dial and one Precision Dial Lock for review. These locks both have a great new spin on the traditional combination lock. My favorite of the two so far would have to be the Speed Dial. It is extremely easy to work one handed. This lock comes in convenience when you are at the gym and may have a sweat towel or something in your hands that you don't want to put down to unlock your locker. It is also great because it can be opened so quickly that other people wont be able to see the Pattern you used. This lock is easy enough for even a 4 year old to open (he thinks this lock is his....hmmm, we will have to change that) The precision dial is also a great lock. It has a combination of numbers and letters to create your combination. This lock style makes many more possibilities for combinations so your valuables can stay safe!

Tie Buddies Review - Help your Children Learn to Tie
My son is only 3 1/2 but he is learning to tie his shoes. We recently went shoe shopping for school shoes and he told me that he liked the tie up shoe, but also said "Mommy, I cant get those. I don't know how to tie shoes" Trying to teach him the old way of tying shoes (The way I learned using 1 "bunny ear" wrapping the other lace around the 1st ear than putting it through the hole and making 2 ears that way).
Then I found Tie Buddies. The wonderful people at Tie Buddies sent me a set of red and green car Tie buddies for me to review.
Opening the package, you will find that you have 4 little squares - one for each lace. Place each square on the laces and that forms your "bunny ear" for you. Then you make your traditional knot (still having the bunny ears), cross over the bunny ears and tuck one in the hole...and voila you have a tied shoe! (Check here to see the Tie Buddies Learn to Tie instructions).
I set up the tie buddies on my sons Shoes. and tried it for the first time. This defiantly did make it easier to tie the shoes. And After trying it two or three times I decided I was confident enough in my tying skills to be able to show my son. After seeing it once, he tried, and almost got it. I was excited because he seemed really willing to try. Since it is still summer, he has been wearing his sandals, but the tie buddies are on his good shoes for when we go out somewhere nicer.
It is a little tricky for an old schooler to use, but for those newbie tiers, It works great!
Check out Tie Buddies here! I would defiantly suggest these to Any Mom for their children!

This program adjusts to your child's age and skill level. For example - a 3 year old gets games that teaches letters, number and shapes. and a 5 year old would get games that teach addition, early reading, and creativity.
The Zoodles browser is always free for kids to play, but for parents who want more control over their child's experience, Zoodles also offers a paid Premium Membership. With Premium Membership, parents can set play time limits, block ads, promote certain subjects to their child, and block unwanted sites and shows. They can also get great information about what their child has been playing – from the skills he or she has been building, to the sites he’s been visiting, to how much time he or she’s spent playing specific games.
I have been lucky to try Zoodles Premium Membership. The Zoodles program tracks your child's progress and updates you weekly. Downloading Zoodles on my computer was a little tricky - but that was my computers fault not the programs fault. When you open Zoodles you have the option to take a tour, parent play along and then your Child's name is on top. Clicking on your child's picture/name takes you to a variety of games. My son loved the fact that this program pulled up Starfall - one of his favorite websites. I encourage everyone to sign up with Zoodles and take advantage of the Premium Membership, Especially since you can set time limits. I know I had to pry my son away from the computer so he could get ready for bed.
Zoodles has offered one of my lucky readers a 3 Month Subscription for their Premium Membership.

Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review
Tropical Traditions sent me a Generous Sample Size to try. They sent me a whole 32 oz Jar of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. When it is below 76 degrees F it is a solid, when it warms up above 76 degrees it starts to turn liquid.
I am, by no means, a Fancy Cook - So I split my jar of coconut oil up between me, my aunt and my coworker. Those two are always experimenting with new foods and flavor combination.
My aunt made Green beans sauteed in Coconut oil with Fresh Garlic. Quoted from her " The coconut was not overpowering. It added a bit of sweetness to the beans and toned down the garlic a little. I'd give it 5 stars"
My coworker ended up using some of the coconut to make chicken for her family. Not telling anyone what was used to make the chicken, no one knew but her. She said that the taste was so soft that no one noticed the difference. She did taste a small hint of coconut, but that was only because she was Searching for that taste. This is defiantly a great alternative to regular cooking oil.
Me, I'm opting for the non cooking rout for my coconut oil. I split my portion into 2 containers - One for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I have heard many people say they will use it for moisturizers. The scent is very soft, so it will make great lip balm.
