Taking Care of the Family

This guest post from Doris Dillon
My husband and I had to move to Texas last year to care for his ailing mother. Our kids are already out of the house, so it wasn’t too much of a sacrifice. We always planned on ending up there at some point, we just ended up there earlier than we planned. My mother in law needed us, so we had to be there. My father in law was taking care of her by himself and he was overwhelmed. We got ready for the move, and my husband was able to find a job through some old friends, but I was not. My mother in law was racking up some pretty serious medical bills, and we were starting to worry about how we were going to make ends meet with all that was going on. One of my husband’s old buddies told us to check out http://www.shopelectricityratestexas.com/bounce-electric-rates/Texas/R/Roanoke/ so we could save on our energy bills. I guess it all ended up working out since it is good for me to be home with my mother in law. I know we will make it through this hard time with the support of our friends and family.

I Have been looking at doing a little decorating... What should I do?

I know I am pretty private about my home life- but just to let you in on a few secrets - I moved about 8 months ago. Into my own house!  This is the first time I have ever lived ON MY OWN .... And now it is about time to make it a place of my own.  So... On to decorating!

The first room that I did was my sons room.  He had to have a room he felt comfortable in and that he enjoyed to be in...As I was looking for furniture for the rooms, I did come across this - elements international bp700drw - brook white dresser with optional mirror (white finish).  It is cute, but my son really didn't like it as much as I hoped - he ended up getting a Familiar dresser from his grandpas house.

The next room that got any personality was the kitchen.  It is the first room that you see when you walk in my front door.  And the easiest way to decorate a kitchen is by using
vinyl placemats modern.  Vinyl placemats are the way to go - especially with young kids.  They are super easy to clean up!

But there are times where worrying about how your house will look when others come over and you will drive yourself insane.  That is when you need to get a walgreen blood pressure Kit. Once you realize that your blood pressure is up, you will know how to control it.  My suggestion - when decorating becomes more stressful than fun .. its time to walk away and hire someone! (either that or get a friend to come in and help you.  Someone you trust... and has similar taste as you)
