With School just starting, Master Lock has come out with 2 new Locks - The Speed Dial and Precision Dial Locks.
The revolutionary Speed Dial Set-Your-Own Combination Lock features a first-of-its-kind design that opens on directional movements – up, down, left and right – instead of a standard rotary dial. The lock is faster to open than traditional locks, saving students valuable time as they hurry to and from class. The innovative lock is customizable, allowing students to create their own easy-to-remember, resettable combination with any number of movements in any sequence. For those who prefer more traditional methods of recalling their combination, the lock includes adhesive letters, numbers, colors, shapes and symbols that can be applied over the lock's directional arrows. It also offers a helpful solution for visually impaired students, as users don't need to see the dial to open it.
The Precision Dial Set-Your-Own Combination Lock from Master Lock offers users a new resettable combination feature in a familiar format. Busy students can leave memorization for their history books and choose their own combination for this lock using three letters or numbers. The lock operates with a standard right-left-right movement, and an enclosed reset tool ensures students will never need to worry about forgetting their combination again.
“The back to school video series is a fresh way to engage teens and communicate the functionality and security our combination locks provide,” said Rebecca Smith, vice president, marketing for Master Lock. “We know being a teen is hard enough and believe products like ours can help minimize everyday stress.”
‘The Secret Combination to Surviving the Teen Years’ online video series launches Monday, August 2, and features ten humorous videos depicting familiar school scenes that all students – and even parents – can relate to. A letter of the day will appear at the end of each video, and viewers can use all ten letters to answer the question, “what is the secret combination to surviving the teen years?”
Participants are encouraged to watch the videos as that were released between August 2 – 6. After watching all ten videos, participants can piece together the master combination and enter for a chance to win the grand prize of a new iPad with a gift card good for a two-year data plan, along with other prizes, from August 13 – 29. For complete official rules and prize description, visit www.masterlock.com/secretcombination_rules.pdf.
Did you figure out the Combination for Surviving the Teen Years?
Master Lock has sent me one of the Speed Dial and one Precision Dial Lock for review. These locks both have a great new spin on the traditional combination lock. My favorite of the two so far would have to be the Speed Dial. It is extremely easy to work one handed. This lock comes in convenience when you are at the gym and may have a sweat towel or something in your hands that you don't want to put down to unlock your locker. It is also great because it can be opened so quickly that other people wont be able to see the Pattern you used. This lock is easy enough for even a 4 year old to open (he thinks this lock is his....hmmm, we will have to change that) The precision dial is also a great lock. It has a combination of numbers and letters to create your combination. This lock style makes many more possibilities for combinations so your valuables can stay safe!
